What A Week!!!! Trying To Bring Empathy To Society
Hello again,
This past week has been momentous, especially since I am a native New Orleanian. Who Dat! The Saints are finally going to the superbowl and I am a proud fan of this wonderful team. My best friend, Tieranni Parquet, made me realize that this is our year. Barack Obama was the forty-fourth president to win the election and the Saints are going to the forty-fourth superbowl. Hopefully, the team will win..I have faith in you guys! In addition to that, I continued my donation to Haiti. Watching the news brought me back to five years ago when I was in that same predicament. I was a Katrina victim and I lost everything I owned. Therefore, I already know what the Haitians are experiencing. Over the weekend I went to the Community Bookstore off of Broad Ave. on Bayou Rd. I donated clothes, shoes, food, and toiletries. The Community Bookstore is now asking for volunteers to help pack up all of the donations and donate empty boxes. I plan to help volunteer and donate boxes this weekend. Please give support to the people of Haiti and donate. As stated, the bookstore is off of Broad Ave. You need to make a right on Bayou Rd. and it is right after you pass a church. Please show empathy for the people in Haiti, they are in desperate need. Also, this past week I just turned in my application for the Kemper Scholarship. Hopefully, I am able to get a chance at this wonderful opportunity! Exams have been on the way this week at Xavier. Today, I took a philosophy exam. Hopefully, I passed! Tomorrow, I am taking a Public Administration exam. Therefore, wish me luck!
